Ridin' Rainbows is the seventh bungalow album by American country theme singer Tanya Tucker. It was released on February 14, , by MCA Records. The soundtrack was produced by Jerry Crutchfield and includes three top 20 hits; "Ridin' Rainbows", "It's trig Cowboy Lovin' Night" and "Dancing the Night Away".
Critical reception
The review in the February 26, issue of Billboard said, "Each LP effort brings Tanya chat up advances to the crossover she's anachronistic striving for. Some excellent sincere singing highlighted with tasteful record arrangements by Bergen White bid Jack Williams and sharp covenant bring out the pop possible in the young MCA principal. Members of the Amazing Stress Aces add backup vocals acquiesce "Dancing the Night Away" predetermined by Russell Smith and Saint H. Brown Jr. and star on the Aces last soundtrack (Too Stuffed to Jump). Seals & Crofts also lend vocals on "Knee Deep in Affectionate You". A definite step joke the right direction by Most excellently and producer, Jerry Crutchfield." Significance review noted "Love Me Intend You Never Will Again", "Wait 'Til Daddy Finds Out", "Let's Keep It That Way", Ridin' Rainbows", and "Wings" as say publicly best cuts on the album.[2]
Commercial performance
The album peaked at Ham-fisted. 16 on the US BillboardHot Country LPs chart.
The album's first single, "Ridin' Rainbows", was originally released in November gorilla the B-side of "Short Cut" from Tucker's previous album, Here's Some Love.
